A SATURDAY SORTOUT

neil, the long suffering flat hoover

LAYOUT - IT'S LIKE CHANGING ROOMS IN HERE

i've had a little fiddle with the layout again. i'm a girl of simplicity and the previous layout was making my head dizzy, despite adoring the background pattern. so it's all change for sense and sensibility to simplicity. excuse any more fiddling that i may do in the next few days - i'm still not fully happy with it (oh, the joys of being a perfectionist).

BEEHIVE - SO NOT 1960

the blogosphere has been abuzz with a messy beehive tutorial from wishwishwish. despite claiming that 'she can't do hair', carrie's tutorial has sent us all into a frenzy of finding pins and combs. i had a quick attempt at the tutorial whilst tidying, and here are my results - side and back. it's a sleek yet different updo and carrie's instructions are foolproof, even for the most hair backward of us all.

PRIMER - A MYSTERY

as promised, a review on the l'oreal studio secrets primer is on it's way. i admit, i'm still at a loss as to how exactly to use it to it's full potential - as soon as i find out, i can share my secrets to success. i think a google session may be in order: how else does a girl discover anything?

CHARITY SHOPS - NOT JUST FOR SHOPPING

i'm now officially a volunteer at a local cancer research charity shop. having a mum who has just finished chemotherapy, and a wish to gain some retail experience, volunteering locally was a perfect solution. i'm due to start this wednesday, so i'm hoping i'll be able to fill every one in on my experiences and encourage others to do the same. they really do appreciate volunteers.
